Cloyette Harris-Stoute is the heart and soul behind ALLIYETTE, a distinguished New York-based jewelry brand that evolved from its predecessor, Twin Elegance. Born and raised in the vibrant culture of Guyana, South America, Cloyette was immersed from a young age in a world where high-karat gold jewelry was a cherished tradition. The custom of gifting gold to newborns and young children was a testament to her family's deep appreciation for this timeless art form. The strength and confidence exuded by the women in her family, along with the treasured jewelry passed down through generations, ignited her passion for creating exquisite pieces.
Cloyette honed her craft at the Jewelry Arts Institute in New York City, mastering the art of jewelry metalsmithing. She further expanded her skills in sculptural jewelry and 3D wax carving at the Art League of Long Island. After taking a hiatus to focus on her family, Cloyette rekindled her twin passions for women's empowerment and jewelry design, launching Twin Elegance in 2021. In 2024, her vision evolved into ALLIYETTE, a brand that beautifully embodies the spirit of heritage and fine jewelry.
Before fully dedicating herself to ALLIYETTE, Cloyette enjoyed a fulfilling career in Healthcare Information Technology, which spanned nearly two decades. Beyond her design work, she delights in sharing inspiring stories of exceptional women from her homeland on her blog, Guyanese Girls Rock! Her commitment to philanthropy shines through the Guyanese Girls Rock Foundation, a non-profit she founded in 2018. This organization fosters mentoring and leadership development for teenage girls, offering scholarships to promising young women in both the USA and Guyana. Cloyette’s dedication to her community is further reflected in her active service on several boards.
